Maxx (short for Maximum Xtasy) is a '90s eurodance duo act best known in Europe for the hits "Get-A-Way," "No More (I Can't Stand It)" and "You Can Get It."During Maxx's initial two-year run, the act went though noticeable changes with its female lead singers. The most recognized lineup of Maxx included British singer Linda Meek and German rapper Gary Bokoe (Gary B.). The massive commercial success of the initial Maxx hits turned the duo act into one of Europe's best-selling dance music projects of 1994. Their successful run was, however, short-lived and the act abruptly disbanded in late 1995 for unknown reasons.
In August 2016, Meek (known today as 'Elyse') reconnected with Maxx founder David Brunner (The HItman and Maxx producer Juergen Wind (George Torpey) for the first time since the breakup of the act in 1995. The group discussed the idea of reviving Maxx and starting a new live tour in Europe with an all new rapper. On August 24th, 2017, Meek made her official comeback performance at the "We Love The 90's" festival in Tallinn, Estonia on August 24th, 2017.Today, she continues to perform a Maxx at retro festivals and concert venues worldwide.
